Class One Christmas Holiday Blog

You won't get to see the notice board for two weeks, so I thought I would share our last week of 2021 with a blog. You'll be able to see the notice board in January.

We had a great week of festive activities and learning.

I hope you have enjoyed watching the Nativity. You need to follow the link sent out by Mr Ratcliffe. Class One were amazing! Here are some pictures from the rehearsals and filming.

Mr Ratcliffe did the filming and the Year Six children told the story for our brilliant actors.

I think the Elf really wanted to be part of our Nativity. Last week he made himself some angel wings and this week he had a cuddle with Baby Jesus.

Finishing touches to our hyacinth gifts. I told the children you can open them before Christmas (so they don't die).

Phonics and maths challenges - including writing our Christmas card messages and making our pictures for the front, whilst comparing shapes and length.

Posting cards and letters to friends in the post box. Some of the children said this was like when they posted their teddy invitations. There was lots of self-initiated writing (I might decide to keep the post box out!)

We even had maths challenges for a make the snowman game on party day.

The rest of party day was fab! Santa came and there were party games, prizes and singing to be done.

The teddies watched as we sang and even wanted to join in.

Christmas dinner!

Other lovely things from the week, including show and tell with a magic show - Amazing!

On Friday we enjoyed Christmas biscuits, a present from Mrs Williams, and we watched our Nativity as we ate.

Look how super our stockings looked on Friday before we brought them home.

I wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the new year!
